Finance Manager | High Growth Music Business | London

Harmonic are proud to be working with a high-growth music business based in a great co-working space full of creative businesses in the search for their next Finance Manager.

The Business:

The business is responsible for working with some of the biggest record labels and their global stars, managing their interactions with the Media. They are known for their fun and dynamic working environment, where the team is very sociable.

A great opportunity has come up for a driven individual to be the sole person in finance. Although, you will be working closely with external accountants as well as a financial consultant who will able to support on financial matters. The business has around 20 members of staff, and as the Finance Manager, you'll be working closely with the Operations Manager and Managing Director. This role provides a clear pathway of progression, to build and develop a finance team as the business continues to scale.

The Role:

Reporting into the Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finances of the company, providing oversight of the bookkeeping for their international entities.

This is a broad role, which gives exposure to Management Accounting as well as some international experience. As the business continues to grow there will be some commercial exposure to the forecasting of the business, and contributing to the commercial strategy.

Duties:

  • Taking full ownership of producing the Management Accounts
  • Providing insightful variance analysis
  • Processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Responsible for bank reconciliations
  • Credit control duties
  • VAT returns
  • Liaising with External Accountants on ad-hoc issues
  • Any other ad-hoc reporting matters

What we need to see (essential):

  • AAT Qualified or accounting and finance related degree
  • Confident communicator
  • Strong analytical mindset

What we'd like to see (bonus):

  • Music, media, TV or Film industry experience
  • Experience working for an SME as the sole charge finance manager.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + great industry perks and benefits
