Finance Manager | Hyper-Growth Ecommerce Retailer | London (hybrid)
Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with an ecommerce sportswear retailer in their search for a commercially-astute Finance Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a part in driving the brand forward as they continue to scale.
Fuelled by the acquisition by a multinational retailer, our client is experiencing major growth, expecting to see revenues increase from £10m in 2023 to £100m by the end of the decade. Based from their brand-new offices, they have their sights on continuing their international expansion. This role would suit an ambitious individual who has extensive technical finance experience in an SME, with commercial exposure, who desires to progress to senior positions within finance, either within the business, or at group level. You will be taking complete ownership of the management accounts, P&L analysis and cashflow management, while managing a small team in transactional finance and reporting to the Head of Finance.
Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of the 3-day month end close process
- Delivering financial reports to group and board level
- Assisting with financial planning and analysis
- Conducting variance analysis
- Managing cashflow and forecasting
- Analysing P&Ls and balance sheets
- Overseeing AP and AR
- Partnering with teams outside finance, such as operations
- Identifying cost savings opportunities and financial risks
- Maintaining compliance with accounting and tax regulations
- Supporting the Head of Finance with ad-hoc duties
Essential criteria
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, in either industry or audit
- 2+ years experience in industry at Finance Manager level
- Experience leading the month-end process in an SME
- Exposure to ecommerce heavy businesses
- Commercially astute and able to balance technical and commercial/partnering duties
- Ability to act independently and occasionally report directly to the Founder
- Confidence in reporting to senior figures at group level
- Intense knowledge of stock and returns - both movements and risk
- Excellent communication skills and people management
Desirable criteria
- Experience in NetSuite/easily adaptable to different software
- Knowledge of KPIs in ecommerce
Location: Central London (hybrid)
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + generous bonus
