Finance Manager | Innovative Architectural Design Company | Central London

Harmonic are delighted to be working with an international architecture studio in their search for a Finance Manager. They are looking for an individual who can manage the day-to-day finance activities as the company continues to expand into new countries.

The business has been gaining recognition due to its exciting projects over recent years working alongside architects and designers on projects with high-end businesses and large-scale projects. The company places a huge importance on creativity and collaboration and promotes a friendly and sociable company culture.

Reporting into the MD, you will have a variety of different duties including management of the budget & forecast cycles, financial accounting, statutory accounts, as well as overseeing AP, AR and payroll. In addition to this, there is also the opportunity to manage the finance team which is currently made up of 4 people.

Commercially the business are doing £7 million in turnover and have expected plans to reach c. £10 million turnover in the next few years and are well on track to achieve this through their reputable service and renowned style.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the end to end finance function
  • Management of the budget and forecast cycles
  • Presenting yearly report to the board and having a seat at the table to talk through the commercial vision and deliverables of the business.
  • Producing the year-end audit for both the UK and international entities
  • Supervising the daily financial operations including AP, AR, payroll and completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Managing payroll
  • Working alongside the management accountant to produce the monthly management accounts
  • Continuously working with technical experts to improve the finance systems and processes

Requirements:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA or ICAS qualified (would also consider finalist / QBE)
  • Previous experience of team management would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present data sets and budgets to key stakeholders
  • A genuine interest in design / architecture / furniture / creative industries / built environment

What we'd like to see:

  • Previous experience in a product-focused or architecture company

Location: Central London / Hybrid

Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 + benefits

Start date: ASAP
