Job description

Finance Manager (12 month FTC) | Talent Management Agency | London/Hybrid

We are pleased to be working with a dynamic, people-first business to appoint a Finance Manager on a fixed-term contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.

Our client is a well-regarded agency operating within the creative industries, with a strong reputation built on long-standing relationships and an eye for exceptional talent. They operate within a fast-paced, close-knit environment and are known for their forward-thinking approach to both their work and their people.

The Role

As Finance Manager, you will take hands-on responsibility for the financial management and operational running of the business. Reporting directly to the Managing Directors, you will lead the day-to-day finance function, including month end reporting, budgeting, and cashflow, whilst managing an Accounts Assistant who will contribute with more administrative tasks.

This is a mid-level role that calls for someone who thrives on variety, takes genuine ownership of their remit, and is equally comfortable working with internal stakeholders and external partners. You will be the operational backbone of the business and a trusted right hand to senior leadership.

For the right person, there is strong potential for this fixed-term role to evolve into a permanent position within the organisation.

  • Manage cash flow and maintain accurate financial records across the business

  • Prepare financial reports and contribute to forecasting and budgeting activity
  • Liaise with external accountants and advisors on tax, year-end, and compliance matters
  • Oversee the operational running of the office, including supplier relationships, contracts, and day-to-day administrative processes
  • Manage and support the Accounts Assistant, providing direction and oversight of their workload
  • Work closely with the Managing Directors to ensure smooth financial and operational delivery across the business
  • Ad hoc tasks to support the wider team

What We Need to See (Essential)

  • Experience using Xero accounting software
  • Previous experience or a familiarity with the creative, media, or entertainment, industries

Package: Salary: £50,000-£60,000 Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days work from home) Ideal Start: ASAP-2 week notice
