Finance Director | Post Series B Tech Scale-Up | London/remote
Harmonic Finance are delighted to be working with one of the Europe's fastest growing tech businesses. They have recently raised a staggering amount of funding from some of the worlds leading VC funds at a series B round with eyes on further investment rounds to continue their expansion.
The business is growing rapidly having hugely disrupted its core market, gaining an incredible valuation. They have reached over 200 headcount and have ambitions to double this by the end of the year, expanding into new geographical territories with their recently gained investment.
While currently working remotely they are based in the start-up hub that is Shoreditch in an amazing office space with easy access to restaurants, cafés, and bars. They have an exceptional leadership team and are focused on attracting the 'best and brightest' with a passion for scaling the next major success story in the tech space!
The role:
Ultimately responsible for running the FP&A Function, managing a team and business partnering to drive strategic decision making throughout the business. The Finance Director will work extremely closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to on fundraising efforts (equity and debt) both on the front-line (in the room, fielding questions from potential investors) and behind the scenes on the model and pitch decks.
There will be additional opportunities to get involved in M&A due diligence and other ad-hoc commercial/strategic projects that will help to form the future of the company. A key element of this role is the investor piece/fundraising activities so it is essential that prospective candidates have experience 'in the room' at investor pitches - this can be as a consultant in Capital Markets or Transaction Services from Big 4/Professional Services or as a commercial FD/Head of Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the CEO and senior leadership team in fundraising activities both in the room and behind the scenes
- Oversight of investment reporting to both debt and equity investors
- Performing due diligence and support on M&A activities
- Advising on strategy relating to finance and structuring of investments
- Preparation and continual improvement of KPI reporting
- Working with senior leadership to prepare and analyse monthly performance reports
- Strategising with senior leadership on key business decisions and their financial impact
- Financial scenario planning and risk assessment
What we need to see (Essential):
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or not qualified with a wealth of high-level commercial finance experience
- Experience working in a senior commercial finance role for an online subscription-based technology company (ideally Fintech, SaaS or online marketplace)
- OR experience working on technology transactions in the Capital Markets/Transaction Services division of a Big 4/professional services business
- Proven knowledge of the key metrics of an online subscription based business e.g. LTV, CAC, churn etc
- Experience working on fundraising activities both in the room and behind the scenes (building the model and pitch decks)
- Strong leadership skills and ability to both mould and build a high performing FP&A team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to be impactful at a senior level
- Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue to learn

Salary:
- £100,000 - £120,000 + share options
