Finance Director | Natural Wellness Scale-Up | London | £120K - £150K
Harmonic Finance are exceptionally proud to be working on an exclusive basis with one of the UK's leading wellness brands. After securing over £5,000,000 in investment in the last 3 months our client is looking to hire a Finance Director. The successful applicant would be joining a successful start-up with a brand that has limitless possibilities.
Based in Central London is their fresh, vibrant and dog friendly office space. Within this non-corporate working environment is a team of exceptionally hard-working members who like to do things a little differently. A real refreshing environment within a company that boasts c. £4M revenue in just a few years, selling over 150,000 products.
The Role
They're looking for their first ever official in-house Finance Director to collaborate alongside a special team of individuals. Working alongside the founders you will have a seat at the table in terms of shaping their strategic and commercial vision as well as being responsible for the end-to-end finance piece. The perfect candidate will boast a hands-on approach and be passionate about all aspects of finance within a start-up/scale-up. The environment is exceptionally fast paced and ever-growing. Your expertise will grow and mould the whole accounting and control processes.
Responsibilities
- Contribution to future fundraising efforts and management of relationship with investors.
- Ownership of systems. This role will be responsible for the build out and selection of finance systems. With a focus on continual improvement as time progresses.
- Responsibility for the management of the finance function throughout the company
- Supporting the founders in shaping commercial and strategic vision
- Executing best practice and curating an exceptional finance team. Responsibility in time for recruiting finance team
- The production of effective KPI reporting metrics and financial models
- Vast financial reporting to the Board
- Business partner with influential stakeholders
- Overseeing the production of statuary accounts and legal financial duties
What our client would like to see (essential):
- Previous experience within a successful start-up/scale-up
- Previous experience fundraising via private equity or venture capital investment
- A good understanding of the Food & Beverage/Wellness industries
- A willingness to be hands on and diligently navigate all aspects of a non-corporate environment
- A passion for effective/practical cost management
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

Salary: £130,000 - £150,000 + bonus + share options
