Finance Director| Live Music and Events Business | London
Harmonic are excited to be working with a rapidly growing Live Music and Events business who are looking to recruit a Finance Director to help with the upward scaling of the business.
The Client
Founded by two young, dynamic entrepreneurs, this exciting and ambitious values led scale-up business is one of the fastest growing in the U.K music industry for live venues and events and has recently undergone a substantial backing from a top tier private equity fund as it continues into the next phase of growth. With forecasted revenue growth of 100% going into 2023 and the goal to double the number of employees over the next 2 years, the business is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Finance Director to help facilitate this expansion, both domestically and internationally. This position will provide direct exposure to the CEO, with a competitive starting salary and plenty of scope for future career progression.
The company is extremely value led, currently located in a vibrant new office space in central London with great communal areas, accessible transport links and lots of great restaurants and bars located within walking distance. The company culture revolves around cooperating and working as a team but also having fun, so it is essential you enjoy working closely with others. There is also flexibility within the role to work from home 2 days a week, however it is important to have a consistent presence in this office in accordance with the company's ethos around teamwork.
The role:
Reporting directly to the company's CEO, the Finance Director role will be managing and developing a strong finance team of 5. The role will have an emphasis on business partnering with external stakeholders and providing strategic support for the CEO. The CEO has bold plans to expand the venues business across the UK and also internationally, with plans to expand into the U.S on the horizon.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work at a fantastic, high growth company immersed in music culture, specifically live venues, with opportunities to grow with the company as it continues to scale out. The CEO and the team also have an extensive skillset and vast amounts of knowledge and experience within the music and events industry.
The duties:
- Acting as a strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Management Team.
- Leading on the budgeting and forecasting for the group.
- Ensuring financial reporting is accurate and timely.
- Developing and managing a finance function of 5 people.
- Managing the business through the annual audit.
- Identifying operational efficiencies and driving improvements.
- Overseeing a robust financial controls environment.
- Ad hoc reporting, servicing, and capacity planning
- Analysis of monthly management information regarding performance vs budgets

Salary: £130,000 - £150,000 + bonus + benefits package
