They have developed technology that is set unlock the full potential of payment cards providing the financial infrastructure that offers clients and users a giant leap forward in open banking technology by bringing the flow of transaction data into 'real-time'. This is revolutionising how companies and users interact by driving real-time engagements.
Having raised over $20m in Series A & B from some of the world's leading VC funds they are about to announce a $50m Series C to continue their rapid expansion.
Forecasting revenue growth of over 300% year on year following the launch of a second innovative product line they can boast relationships with the world's largest card networks including Visa and American Express and a selection of the world's best known Financial Services, Tech, Retail and E-commerce businesses, offering them scope to expand quickly into new geographic regions including the Middle East, Southeast Asia and South America in the next 2 years.
With a beautiful HQ in London and new offices in the USA and Europe they are expecting to grow headcount from circa 100 to over 300 in the coming years. The role:
Working closely with a brilliant CFO with extensive experience in Investment Banking and start-ups, the Finance Director will have ultimate responsibility for owning and scaling the Finance & Accounting function as the business grows internationally.
Key deliverables in the role will centre around implementing and ensuring world class Financial Reporting & Accounting processes are implemented, a new ERP system is selected and implemented to facilitate more seamless expansion and effective management and build out of the Finance function over time.
Responsibilities:
- Build an environment that enables the CFO and Management Team to access quick and accurate financial information
- Build and develop a high performing Finance team (currently 3 with an excellent Financial Controller)
- Overall responsibility for the delivery of timely, accurate Month-End and Management Accounting
- Overall responsibility for the implementation of robust Financial Controls and Reporting processes under IFRS
- Select and implement a new ERP system to support the next phase of expansion
- Oversight of the monthly and annual Group Consolidation process including VAT, payroll and HMRC filings
- Establish and own the Annual Budgeting process building relationships with non-Finance stakeholders and the Leadership team
- Manage the Group cash flow forecasting process
- Own the production of Financial Reporting and analysis for the VC Investors liaising with them regularly
- Oversee the completion of the annual Statutory Accounts and delivery of the Audit process at a Group level and for regional subsidiaries
- Ensure excellent relationships with external auditors and tax advisors ensuring international compliance from a Finance & Accounting standpoint
- Review and implement process improvements driving automation across Finance
- Support the CFO with ad-hoc projects supporting international growth and Fundraising
What we need to see (Essential):
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Excellent leadership skills
- Technically strong with a passion of implementing new processes
- Exposure to international entities (ideally USA)
- Proactive with great communication skills
- Able to build relationships across the business to drive performance
What we'd like to see (Non-Essential):
- Experience in a fast growth Tech start-up or scale-up (VC or PE Backed)
- Fintech or SaaS (software-as-a-Service) experience
- Experience implementing a new ERP system
- Demonstrable experience building and managing a rounded, impactful Finance function
Location:
- Central London (Hybrid model with ideally 3 days a week in the office)
Salary: £120,000 - £140,000 + share options
