Finance Director | Elite Fintech Scale-Up (Post Series C) | London

We are delighted to be working exclusively with one of the most exciting emerging lenders in Europe who are reimagining Financial Services with their hugely disruptive technology! Having recently completed a significant Series C fundraise, backed by some of the world's top-tier VC funds, they are looking to bring in a Finance Director as a key figure to propel their continual expansion.

This exciting Fintech are driven by their mission to create fairness within Financial Services and having seen extensive growth over the past couple of years, more than tripling their headcount to over 200, they have attracted significant investment and highly regarded leaders to achieve this, recently expanding internationally into the US and Europe from their UK HQ.

They are based in a fantastic office space in Central London with the wider business being led by some of the most respected industry leaders with a track-record of unlocking start-up's growth potential, all brought together by their passion for scaling the business further and have a diverse team with a great culture including an impressive approach to working from home.

The role

They're looking for their first Finance Director to join the team as soon as possible, to report to their Co-Founders and ultimately be responsible for all things finance. This is perfect for a hands-on FD/CFO who wants to get 'stuck in' with exposure to all aspects of finance across the business. Operating in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise to build and reshape all accounting and control processes.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the management of the finance function globally
  • Management of FP&A, MI, financial systems, cash management and financial reporting
  • Implementing best practice and building a world class finance team
  • Provide strategic guidance on commercial direction, business models and products
  • Responsible for overseeing the production of statutory accounts and legal financial obligations including regulatory compliance
  • Production of effective KPI reporting metrics and financial models
  • Involvement in future fundraising rounds
  • Implement and continually review processes and systems to enable finance to meet the demands of a rapidly scaling company
  • Extensive financial reporting to the Board
  • Managing the group consolidation process of multiple international entities
  • Business partner with key stakeholders

What we need to see (essential):

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience within an FCA regulated environment
  • Regulatory Capital (RegCap) knowledge
  • "Hands on" FD/CFO experience
  • Strong UK GAAP and/or IFRS knowledge
  • Entrepreneurial and passionate about the start-up and scale-up space
  • Excellent communication skills and technically strong
  • A willingness to "roll your sleeves up" and get stuck in across finance

Salary: £130,000 - £150,000 + significant share options
