Finance Director (6 month contract) | Elite Fintech Scale-Up (Post Series B) | London
We are delighted to be working exclusively with one of the globe's most exciting Fintech stories that're reimagining Financial Services with their hugely disruptive technology! After raising a significant Series B fundraise of almost £50m, involving some of Europe's top-tier VC funds, they are looking to immediately bring in a Finance Director.
This exciting Fintech are driven by their mission to create fairness within Financial Services and having seen extensive growth over the past couple of years, more than doubling their headcount, they have attracted significant investment and highly regarded leaders to achieve this, recently expanding internationally into the US, Germany and France. For some time now, they've been gathering highly regarded, international recognition, featuring in some of the most prestigious cohorts and growth lists as well as the Financial Times, The Times, The Guardian etc., reflecting their compelling future plans.
They are based in a fantastic office space in Zone 1, London, with access to many vibrant restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. The role
They're looking for their first Finance Director to join the team as soon as possible, to work alongside the CFO and ultimately be responsible for all things finance. This is perfect for a hands-on FD/CFO who wants to get 'stuck in' with exposure to all aspects of finance across the business. Operating in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise to build and reshape all accounting and control processes.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the management of the finance function
- Management of FP&A, MI, financial systems, cash management and financial reporting
- Implementing best practice and building a talented finance team.
- Responsible for overseeing the production of statutory accounts and legal financial obligations including regulatory compliance.
- Production of effective KPI reporting metrics and financial models.
- Involvement in future fundraising rounds.
- Managing the group consolidation process of multiple international entities.
- Be part of the senior management team to help drive strategic direction.
- Business partner with key budget holders.
What we need to see (essential):
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience within an FCA regulated environment
- "Hands on" FD/CFO experience
- Strong UK GAAP and/or IFRS knowledge
- Entrepreneurial and passionate about the start-up and scale-up space
- Excellent communication skills and technically strong
- A willingness to "roll your sleeves up" and get stuck in across finance

Day rate: £750 - £1050 (depending on experience)
