Finance Business Partner | High Growth Automotive Scale-Up | Birmingham / Hybrid

The Client

We are delighted to be working with one of the fastest growing Automotive businesses in the UK to hire a commercially focused Finance Business Partner supporting the FP&A team with building relationships across the company.

The company has nearly 200 active branches which they're intending on growing at a rate of 10% year-on-year and, following a recent merger, they are keen to establish themselves as the go to company in the space.

Despite their size and dispersed nature, they have a strong sense of company culture which they are keen to protect. Each site has its own nuanced vibe and the location for this hire has a particularly fun office environment.

The team are high performing, commercially minded and forward thinking. There is a drive "to get stuff done" so people are friendly but direct. The department head is a brilliant leader and manager so is keen on identifying and developing talent.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Business Partnering Manager, you will gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment, building important relationships and partnering with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Finance partner for sales teams (Network, eCommerce) on key projects-new branches, investments, and sales initiatives.
  • Partner with corporate squads (Marketing, Logistics) to dissect expenditures, fuelling projects and ROI analysis.
  • Craft and leverage MI & KPIs for sales and profitability insights-deliver directly to top
  • Break down Price, Volume, and Mix (PVM) for sharp sales and margin analysis.
  • Own periodic reports, like the weekly performance pack-optimize with automation.
  • Support senior stakeholders in gauging business and network performance against targets.
  • Drive annual budget and monthly forecasts with insightful commentary.
  • Streamline processes, shift manual reporting to efficient software solutions.
  • Assist with punchy ad hoc investment models, aiding smart investment decisions.

What we need to see:

  • Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Adept Excel user, confident in manipulating large datasets.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure under tight and competing deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and commercial mindset.

What we would like to see:

  • Power BI experience or similar.
  • Retail / e-commerce experience.

Salary:

  • £50,000-£55,000 + Benefits
