The Business:

This historic institution is currently undergoing an expansion, with several new site locations opening across London, emphasising the growth of the business. Founded in the 19th century, the gallery has been a huge tourist attraction, with art shows and collections reflecting the cultural diversity synonymous with London.

The extremely value led business has recently received a substantial amount of investment, aiding the expansion currently being undertaken. With fantastic venue space due to open each summer for the next three years, it is a hugely exciting project to be apart of. The business is surrounded by people with a love of the arts, and are looking to bring in a finance professional who shares these values and take pride in working for such a historic and well respected organisation.

The Role:

As the Finance Business Partner, the successful candidate will be partnering with the organisations budget holders to ensure efficiency with the use of public funds, and allocation of appropriate resources. There will also be a commercial focus on the role, ensuring costs are well managed and financial risks are identified and mitigated. The role, which offers hybrid working, is based in Central London and will provide an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Head of FP&A and Finance Director, offering great exposure to senior level management, alongside working closely with other members of the organisation.

Duties:

  • Partnering with budget holders to ensure a strict control of cost
  • Provide insight and identify risks and opportunities to help manage the profitability of the business
  • Ensure appropriate allocation of resources and a robust management of budgets
  • Monitor financial performance, providing variance analysis and insightful feedback
  • Apply investment appraisal techniques to better inform business decision making
  • Work closely with the Reporting Accountant to deliver continuous improvement with internal reporting

What we need to see:

  • Previous experience working in a finance business partnering role
  • Experience using mid-range accounting software
  • Previous experience with charity based accounting
  • Strong ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines

Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 + industry perks
