Finance Assistant | Fast-growth Health & Wellness Drinks Scaleup | North London

Harmonic are proud to be working on a retained basis with one of the most dynamic and values led drinks scaleups in the market.

Only a few years into their journey they have successfully disrupted the smoothie and juice categories across major UK supermarkets as well as scaling their D2C (direct to consumer) presence. Their products pair the freshest ingredients with leading nutrition to supplement a healthy diet. Much of the focus of the brand is on health and wellness which is also encompassed in their working culture.

Paired with great product lines, our client has also seen fantastic growth. They are the fastest growing brand in their category and raised over £4 million in recent years to supplement their journey. Currently the business is also going through a huge marketing campaign which will further increase brand awareness and sales making this an opportune time to join.

The Role:

The Finance Assistant roles reports into the Finance Controller and comes with a mentored relationship to both the Finance Controller as well as Finance Director. The ideal candidate will have a good handle on transactional finance (accounts payable / accounts receivable) and a willingness to progress their month end reporting skills and become further involved in the management accounting processes with progression to Finance Manager.

· Manage the day-to-day Finance Operations side of the business (owning Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Payroll)

· Ensure invoices are coded correctly on NetSuite

· Continuously improve processes and strive to automate and find efficiency gains where possible (NetSuite)

· Manage Payroll and Expense management

· Manage Bank Account and Balance Sheet Reconciliations

· Work closely with Sales teams to ensure effective customer and supplier onboarding from a Finance perspective

· Provide financial reporting and variance analysis to senior management in the Sales team

· Increasingly support the Management Accountant with month-end (accruals, prepayments, posting adjustments etc)

· Assist with Year-End reporting

· Work with the wider Finance team on multiple ad-hoc projects

· Support with AR / Sales Ledger where required. Covering holiday for collogues who lead on this

What our client would like to see:

· Confident written and verbal communication

· Previous Experience managing Purchase and Sales Ledger (Accounts Payable and Receivable)

· Desire to study ACCA, CIMA, AAT or ACA (ICAEW) or evidence of being at the early stages of a finance qualification.

· Excellent Organisational skills

· Real desire to learn and progress quickly

What we would like to see:

· Experience with product-based business. This could be with a food, drink, fashion, retail, ecommerce, cosmetics, or fashion brand for example.

Salary:

£30,000 to £35,000 per annual + Bonus
