Finance Assistant with study support | Fast Growth Luxury Drinks Business | London

Harmonic are proud to be working with a fast-growth SME in the luxury drinks space on the hire of a Finance Assistant to join the team.

Working alongside the Head of Finance who will join a business who are well funded by a major international player as well as cultures and vales led. To date they have had great commercial success and are on track to turnover £10 million for this year with a target to almost double to c£19m by 2023.

Having recently won several major supplier contracts they are on track to achieve the 5-year strategic plan of 5x growth so will be a great environment to grow your career with the company.

With the financial backing of one of the industries most established players they have successfully retained their 'start-up culture' and retain extensive independence and operational control. They have an ambitious team, based in a brilliant new office near to Victoria. The culture is non-corporate and very sociable.

Currently the team are in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and work from home Monday and Friday.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Finance they are looking for a highly motivated Finance Assistant who is motivated by improving the Finance function and adding value. This involves:

  • Debt Management. Identify risks, chase debtors to maximise cash deliver
  • Processing and filing of purchase invoices and expense forms - paying according to company T&Cs
  • Daily cash book postings and bank reconciliations
  • Ensuring allocations on sales ledger and purchase ledger are kept up to date at all times
  • Credit control
  • New customer and new supplier setup process
  • Maintaining databases including contract databases and expenses

  • Supporting the Head of Finance in the timely and accurate completion of month end

▪ Weekly "flash" reporting of Debtor position

▪ Monthly Reporting of Debtor Days and Creditor Days, highlighting risk customers and aging debt

▪ Providing support and phone cover for the domestic and export order processing teams as and when needed

▪ Updating customer, supplier and stock records in Sage 200

▪ Support on project work

▪ Support the overall success and performance of the company as needed / ad-hoq finance tasks

Required Experience

  • Studying ACCA or CIMA or ambition to start studying
  • Highly commercial (budgets, variance analysis, forecasting)
  • Excellent Communicator
  • Ambitious and Passionate about being part of a scale-up
  • Excellent attention to detail

Experience (Bonus Skills)

  • Retail, Food & Beverage or E-commerce experience
  • Fast moving supply chain experience
  • Experience with stock or physical products

Salary: up to £30,000 + study support (ACCA)

Start Date: ASAP
