Finance Assistant | Well-Established Architectural Design Practice | London
Harmonic is excited to be working with a fast-growth and incredibly well-established architecture practice in their search for a Finance Assistant to join their expanding team. This client is well-known in the industry with a fantastic reputation for their ambitious, unique and innovative projects both in the UK and across the globe. With a big focus on sustainability and various international projects ongoing, this is a fantastic time to join the business.
Following a recent period of growth due to some impressive project wins, headcount now sits at 150 employees across several UK offices. Finance in very high-regarded and well-integrated. As this is very much an outward-facing role with lots of contact both with the partners of the business as well as the project leads, the client are looking for a confident and ambitious individual who is keen to learn about a new industry and develop new skills. They have created a supportive and encouraging environment where every individual can grow and develop. Employee tenure is very high, with various career progression success stories within the team. With good performance, the right candidate would be in a position to take on additional responsibilities and progress to a Management Accountant position long-term. Reporting directly to the Finance Director and part of a close knit and high performing team, you will have huge exposure to different elements of finance. As you develop, this would include assisting with the month end, assisting with budgets and payroll processes.

The Role
The role itself covers a broad range of transactional financial responsibilities. This role is perfect for someone with a few years' experience at a transactional finance level looking to progress long-term
The position is office-based with some flexibility options.
Key Responsibilities
· Full ownership of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
· Processing invoices and updating the internal accounting system
· Processing payments
· Communicating with clients and suppliers to ensure timely payment of invoices
· Working closely with the Management Accountant on management accounts and month-end processes
· Bank reconciliations and managing expenses
· Working alongside other members of the finance team to assist with payroll
Essential Skills (what we need to see):
- 1-2 years minimum in a finance role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Genuine interest in architecture and design
- Independent and approachable attitude
- Proactive and positive approach to life!
Bonus skills (what we'd like to see):
- Experience working in a project or service environment e.g marketing, advertising, architecture, engineering, design.
- Degree in Accounting or Finance departments or AAT qualifications
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £28,000-£32,000 + Study Support + Benefits package
Location: London Based with Flexible working options
