The Client

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a world renowned independent theatrical production company with their search for a Finance Assistant to join their sociable, collaborative finance team The business have worked with countless high-profile clients within the theatre and music industry, with offices across America and Europe, where they have built a reputation as a leader in all thing's theatre performance rights.

The Role:

Reporting into an experienced Financial Controller, the day to day will consist of the production of journals, ledger entries, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable and credit control. Alongside this, within the finance team you will be responsible for the accurate entering of information into accounting software. Your role will be integral to the overall performance of the finance team and wider business as they look to grow their highly reputable client base over the next 3-5 years. You will be working closely with more senior members, meaning this role provides opportunities for personal growth, development and scope to progress to MA / FM long term.

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly reviews of aged debtor reports and follow up credit control with licensing teams
  • Reconcile bank statements and investigate any discrepancies
  • Work with auditors to identify the discrepancies
  • Attendance at regular meetings with other departments to ensure all deadlines are met alongside general ad-hoc finance support. Production of journals and ledgers
  • Exposure to credit and accounts payable during holiday periods
  • Assist the team with any client queries
  • Work to Improve processes
  • Ad hock duties to support the finance managers

What We Need to See (Essential Skills):

  • 1 year experience in a Finance Assistant role or similar
  • Previous work with multi-currency payments and bank accounts
  • Good and efficient ability to multitask without making accuracy mistakes
  • Independent skills on problem solving and reconciliations
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including to non-finance departments
  • Team player

What We Would Like to See (Bonus Skills):

  • NetSuite experience
  • Sufficient in excel
  • Interest in theatre or music industries

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £27-30K
