Director of Operations | Fast Growth Creative Accountancy Practice | Brighton
Harmonic are proud to be working on a retained basis with one of the most exciting, values driven, fast growth accountancy practices in the UK, for a Director of Operations to have real influence on the future scaling of the business.
The Business:
Since establishing in 2016, this exciting accountancy practice serves circa 200 clients, including some of the leading musicians, Hollywood actors, social media influences and content creators. With multiple offices in the UK and the United States, our client represents artists from over 20 countries and is truly connected to some of the most influential people in the creative space.
With total headcount at 25 and revenue at roughly £3 million and growing year on year, the business has performed exceptionally well during and post Covid, and is now ready to take the next step in driving further expansion. With an extremely values led approach underpinning the entire business since inception, there is a strong focus around continuous learning, collaboration, dependability and always being willing to help each other. As such, there is a low staff turnover rate and a real sense of pride throughout the team.
The Role:
This Director of Operations role is a newly created position in line with the growth of the organisation. The role will provide the businesses fantastic, entrepreneurial founder support, to have real influence in the future strategy of the company. With one of the main goals of the business to enter new territories such as Australia and Canada, this is a perfect opportunity for driven, ambitious candidates that also enjoy mentoring and leading teams.
With future opportunities for progression in line with the growth of the business, this will be a hybrid role with an expectancy to work alongside the founder in the Brighton office 2 days a week. Along with driving efficiencies and operating in a client facing role, there will also be special ad hoc projects which will require assistance. The role will require candidates to be comfortable managing a team and be suitably tech savvy, due to the current systems and software in place.
The Duties:
- Produce operational reports and identify / improve financial performance
- Operate a client-facing role, overseeing portfolio of clients
- Lead on projects streamlining processes and driving efficiencies
- Manage a team, leading on recruiting, goal setting and performance reviews
- Work alongside Founder to drive strategic initiatives for the firm
- Assist and lead on ad hoc special projects
What we need to see (Essential):
- ACCA / ACA Qualified
- Experience working in an accounting practice
- Strong analytical, problem solving mindset
What we need to see (Bonus):
- Creative space background (TV & Film, Music, Media)
Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 + great bonus package
