Director of FP&A | No.1 in Finance | Series B SaaS

Harmonic are proud to be working with a B2B cyber security start up that have just secured a $50m Series B fundraise and are now looking for a Director of FP&A to lead their finance team.

This start-up is driven by an exceptional senior leadership team that have diverse backgrounds in investment banking, SaaS start-ups and Private equity. They are looking for a strategic Director of FP&A that will be able to drive insights into company performance and wants to have a huge impact on the business.

Having just been backed by same VCs as some of techs biggest success stories, you will be joining the business at a pivotal point in their trajectory as they look to scale from 50 to over 100 employees by the end of the year. This role will suit an individual that is very commercially astute and capable of viewing the business holistically as it will require you to build a number of cross-functional relationships.

The Role:

This position will be the number one role in finance and report directly to the CEO.

You will be responsible for leading a best-in-class FP&A function and playing a pivotal role in facilitating consistent growth across business.

We are looking for an incredibly commercially astute individual with an exceptional knowledge of SaaS metrics and how to turn these into actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing a high performing FP&A function.
  • Extensive liaising with stakeholders and providing commercial data and insight to support internal departments.
  • In depth analysis of company performance, including mapping key KPI's and SaaS metrics to help identify areas of opportunity.
  • Responsible for all financial planning, budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Developing and maintaining financial models to bring clarity to financial data for multiple areas of the business.
  • Business partnering with operations, marketing, HR, product and sales teams to improve internal reporting processes
  • Liaising with external stakeholders including producing board packs and supporting future fundraising activity
  • Manage relationships with external accountants and auditors.
  • Ad hoc strategy projects

What you need (Essential)

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or similar.
  • 5+ years in FP&A
  • Experience working within a start-up SaaS organization
  • Passion for technology and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in leading and building out a finance function
  • Acute eye for detail and high working standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

Location: Fully remote (US)

Salary: $200,000 - $225,000 + Bonus + Equity
