Director of FP&A | Hyper Growth SaaS Start-Up | Fully Remote
The Client
Harmonic are excited to be working with rapidly growing B2B SaaS start-up that are looking for a Director of FP&A to support the development of this rapidly growing business.
To date they have raised close to $50m in VC funding and have some incredibly ambitious plans to expand and double their team by the end of this year. This role would suit a confident and driven individual, with strong financial modelling skills who can work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. They are looking for a Director of FP&A that will be able to drive insights into company performance and wants to be part of the strategic decision-making process.
The company are keen to add someone to the company who is fun, hardworking and wants to progress their career quickly. Culturally the business is filled with incredibly talented, ambitious people but has maintained a strong 'start-up' feel where collaboration is encouraged.
The Role
This position will be an integral part of the senior leadership team acting as the number one person in finance and will be working closely with the CEO and senior stakeholders to help scale the business and implement strategic objectives.
The Director of FP&A will be responsible for overseeing all forecasting, budgeting and financial planning as well as providing in-depth analysis on company performance to support decision making.
Duties
- Manage the production of the Forecasting, Planning and Analysis cycle (FP&A).
- Create financial models to help forecast the business
- Manage all aspects of financial accounting
- In depth analysis of company performance, including identifying key KPI's and metrics
- Trend and customer insight analysis to support key strategy decisions
- Business partnering with operations, sales, and HR teams to improve internal reporting processes and give commercial insight
- Work with the data team to build dashboards and visualisation tools
- Manage financial reports and P&L
- Streamline processes to improve the performance of the company
- Produce board packs to help with fundraising
- Be an individual contributor and an excellent team leader
What you need
- Excellent FP&A and Financial Analysis skills
- Excellent budgeting and forecasting skillset
- Excellent modelling skillset
- Commercially astute
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to be impactful at a senior level
- Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue to learn
What we'd like to see
- SaaS experience and strong understanding of SaaS metrics
- Knowledge of Startup ecosystems and experience working in a Startup
- Experience working in a PE/VC-backed or fast-paced environment
- Investment Banking background
- Due diligence experience
- Understanding of basic accounting practices
Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 + Bonus + Equity
Location: Fully Remote
