Director of FP&A | Award-winning Biotech Scale-up | Remote

The Client

Harmonic are proud to be working with rapidly growing VC-backed biotech company that are looking for a strategic and incredibly commercial Director of FP&A.

To date this disruptive scaleup has raised close to $200m in VC funding and have some incredibly ambitious plans for expansion over the next few years so you will be joining them at a time when you'll have a huge opportunity to chart the course for their continued growth!

This role will suit an individual that is commercially astute with a strong modelling skillset. My client is looking for a proactive individual that enjoys working with financial data to provide insights on performance.

They are looking for an individual that knows how to build out a best-in-class FP&A function, ideally with experience in venture-backed start-ups.

The Role

This position will be an integral part of the senior leadership team and will be working closely with the CEO, CFO and senior stakeholders to help scale the business and implement strategic objectives.

The Director of FP&A will be responsible for overseeing all forecasting, budgeting and financial planning as well as providing in-depth analysis on company performance to support decision making.

Duties

  • Building out a high performance, FP&A function including hiring and developing new FP&A team members

  • Responsible for all financial planning, budgeting and forecasting

  • Developing and maintaining financial models for analysis

  • Quarterly reporting for board and investors

  • Trend and customer insight analysis to support key strategy decisions

  • Business partnering with operations and sales teams to improve internal reporting processes and give commercial insight

  • Liaising with external stakeholders to support expansion

What you need

  • 5+ years' experience in FP&A

  • Experience in Biotech organisations

  • Excellent modelling skillset

  • Experience working in a PE/VC-backed or fast-paced environment

  • Start-up experience or experience building an FP&A team

  • Acute eye for detail and high working standards

What we'd like to see

  • Experience with reputable fast-growth Biotech scale ups
  • Track record of scaling FP&A teams in fast-growth environment

Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 + Bonus + Equity

Location: Boston - flexible working
