This company offers flexible working and would like the successful candidates to work 2-3 days a week from their beautiful offices in Cambridge.
The Role
This position will be an integral part of scaling the business and achieving some ambitious figures. The Director of Finance will work closely with the Portfolio CFO to shape the strategic direction of the business. Initially this will involve the build out of improved financial reporting metrics, KPI's and an accounting function to improve insight and decision making.
Duties

Oversee day to day accounting and finance function

Develop a world class forecasting and planning function (FP&A)

Manager and oversee the purchase ledger

Build and improve financial models to support expansion and future funding rounds

Build relationships with, and partner with the wider leadership team to bring improved financial rigor to decision making processes and projects

Develop and maintain automated reporting systems continuously improving and implementing new software

Build, train, and mentor a strong finance team

Creating budgets for sales, marketing, and operations

Lead the finance and operations team

Extensive ad-hoc projects
What you need
-
Over 5 years of finance leadership experience

A very hands-on approach with a willingness to 'roll your sleeves up' and get stuck in across finance

Experience managing and scaling a team

Excited by start-ups and a passion for Biotech

Excellent communication, problem solving and creative thinking skills with very close attention to detail
What we'd like to see

CPA (Strongly Preferred)

Previous non-profit experience (Strongly Preferred)

Experience working in the BioTech industry

Experience working in a start-up / scaling SME
Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Location: Cambridge, MA (Flexible - Hybrid)
