Dealership Accountant | Start-up Automotive Services Group | Tottenham

The client:

Harmonic is excited to be partnering with a busy automotive services group in their search for a high-calibre Dealership Accountant to be instrumental in the development and growth of the business. The business is currently going through an exciting stage of their evolution, with a current revenue of £15m+ turnover but growing very quickly.

The Role:

You'll be responsible for overseeing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, preparing VAT returns, and providing detailed analysis in monthly management accounts. You'll also supervise a team, manage budgets, and ensure accurate financial reconciliations. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to our company's financial success and collaborate with our Directors and external accountants.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including business transactions.
• Prepare and review VAT returns.
• Provide monthly management accounts with detailed analysis.
• Oversee purchase and sales ledger information.
• Monitor debtors and manage credit control issues.
• Supervise a team of bookkeepers.
• Support profit optimization and project performance evaluation.
• Consolidate group budgets and forecasts.
• Manage inter-company balances and group cash flow.
• Liaise with external accountants for statutory accounts.

What we need to see (Required):

• Previous experience within the motor industry
• Strong technical and analytical accounting skills
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• ACCA/CIMA/ACA studier

What we would like to see (Bonus):

• Previous experience in a car dealership
• Track record working with Kerridge, Pinnacle or a similar Accounting Software

Salary: £42,000 - £47,000 + Bonus
