Controller | Rapid Growth Post Series A SaaS Start-Up

Harmonic are proud to be working exclusively with a VC-backed SaaS business looking for a Controller to build and lead their accounting team.

This innovative scale-up has raised over $30m at Series A and 3 years after Founding is already at $20m ARR. They are forecasting $40m ARR next year and $100m in 2026.

The business offers an incredibly unique, AI product that allows business to streamline their internal processes with an extremely cost & time efficient platform. You will be joining an experienced senior leadership team with multiple exits and a top tier VC investor base.

They are looking for an individual that knows how to build out a best-in-class Accounting function, ideally with experience in start-ups as the business expands internationally and embarks on a period of M&A with 3-5 acquisitions planned in 2025.

The Role

This position will be an integral part of the leadership team and will be working closely with the CFO and senior stakeholders to help scale the business. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting division and preparing the business for external Audit. There will be a heavy M&A element with 3-5 acquisitions annually.

• Lead the accounting operations of the business
• Implement and maintain robust reporting and controls processes
• Work closely with the Senior leadership team to prepare and present financials
• Support with M&A processes leading on the integration process
• Support the launch of new products in Europe and Asia
• Ensure that the company accounts are closed in a timely fashion and in accordance to GAAP
• Management of ASC 606 revenue recognition, working with sales legal and operations.
• Assisting with financial reports, including annual / monthly budgeting and financial planning.
• Support the CFO in driving improved strategic decision making and insightful analysis
• Preparing the business for audit and liaising with external parties.
• Oversee the whole month-end process including the AP/AR function.
• Consistently looking for ways to improve and streamline processes
• Building out the finance function from a technical accounting perspective
• Training, development and mentoring of finance professionals

What you need

• CPA preferred
• Experience leading Accounting functions in a scaling environment
• Experience in a SaaS organization
• ASC 606 Revenue recognition experience
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP
• Experience integrating acquisition targets

Salary: $215,000 - $250,000 + Bonus + Equity
