About the Role:

The Controller will take ownership of the accounting function and support the company's ambitious growth plans. The Controller will lead financial operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive continuous process improvements. Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable and financial reporting for U.S. and Canadian entities.
• Ensure compliance with US and Canadian accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial controls.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Lead the year-end audit process and maintain adherence to accounting policies.
• Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to provide insights on financial management.
• Deliver real-time analytics to support strategic decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, enhance workflows, and improve performance.
• Support ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects.

What we need to see (Essential):

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation completed or near completion.
• 4+ years of experience in a financial controller or similar position.
• Proficient understanding of U.S. and Canadian tax compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership skills and a track record of managing accounting teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and time-management skills.

What we would like to see (Non-essential):

• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurants
• Familiarity with PE-backed environments or fast-growth companies.
• Passion for process automation and driving efficiencies.

Location: Miami

Salary: $115,000 - $140,000 + bonus
