About the Role:

As the Controller, you'll play a pivotal role on the leadership team and report directly to the COO. You will lead a dynamic finance team, improve their ability to support clients, and enhance internal processes with the use of technology. The ideal candidate will bring a comprehensive background in accounting, proven experience in the restaurant or hospitality sectors, and a strategic mindset to guide their team in delivering exceptional client service. This role is most suitable for someone who is passionate about using technology to streamline accounting processes and has a track record of using systems to automate these.

Responsibilities:

• Build and develop a team of Accounting Managers and Accountants to provide best-in-class consultation and accounting services to mid-sized restaurant groups
• Support the CEO and COO with developing and executing the long-term growth objectives
• Help clients to streamline and automate processes in Restaurant 365
• Review and ensure the accuracy of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Train, develop and lead the finance and accounting team
• Ensure compliance with external financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Partner with the leadership team to provide financial insights, assess business performance
• Continually look for ways to improve the businesses and internal processes
• Partner with the restaurants to add value and have an impact on their business

What we need to see (Essential):

• 4-5 years of experience in restaurant Finance and Accounting

• Proven track record of automating internal processes

• Strong knowledge of Restaurant 365

• Passion for working with new technology and systems

  What we would like to see (Non-essential):

• Experience in a finance leadership role

• Previous experience in consulting or a client facing position

Location: Fully Remote

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000
