As they continue to expand, they're seeking a Controller to lead the finance function during a critical phase of growth and transformation. The Role

As Controller, you'll take ownership of all core accounting and financial operations for the business. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll lead monthly closes, oversee reporting and compliance, and help operationalize financial processes across the company. You'll be a strategic partner to leadership, supporting smart, sustainable growth while ensuring financial integrity and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and cash management

Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Prepare financial statements and reports for leadership, investors, and external stakeholders

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes

Maintain and strengthen internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance

Collaborate with touring, production, and e-commerce teams to support accurate revenue recognition and cost allocations

Support tax compliance, audit readiness, and financial reporting requirements

Implement systems and tools to improve financial workflows and reporting capabilities

Build and manage a growing finance/accounting team

What We Need to See (Essential)

Experience leading an accounting function

Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practices

Proven experience leading accounting operations and monthly close

Strong systems skills (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar)

Excellent Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets

High attention to detail, accountability, and organizational skills

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally with creative and operational teams

What We'd Love to See (Bonus)

CPA or similar financial certification

Experience in merchandising, touring, or inventory-related accounting

Background in a fast-growing, or startup environment

Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, ERP systems, or POS integrations

Passion for music and the creative industries

💰 Salary: Up to $160K + Bonus
