Commercial Finance Manager | Hyper-Growth E-commerce Fashion Brand | London

Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with a rapid-growth e-commerce fashion brand in their search for a Commercial Finance Manager. Turning over £25 million in 2022, they are set to grow by a further 50% this year, with this hire acting as a key driver in their long-term. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to work alongside a new (yet very well-regarded) name in their goal to increase market share.

The role

The Commercial Finance Manager will act as the number two in finance, reporting directly to the Finance Director. This role is instrumental in shaping the future of the business as one of the core objectives of creating this role is to establish financial planning and analysis in the company in order to influence key business decisions. As the Commercial Finance Lead within the business, this presents an excellent opportunity to implement new processes and to work closely with departmental leads in operations, supply chains and sales to provide intelligent commercial analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Producing budgets and forecasts for senior leadership teams to influence commercial decision making
  • Supporting the Finance Director with long-term strategic plans
  • Monitoring and analysing sales figures from multiple different revenue streams
  • Undertaking financial planning and analysis
  • Business partnering with various departmental leads including the Head of Sales and Supply Chain Director to ensure accurate stock forecasting and planning for the coming months
  • Working closely with various other teams including buying/ merchandising to establish trends and therefore assess opportunities and risks
  • Supervising the transactional finance team

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or fully qualified
  • Previous experience in a product-based business (e.g FMCG, e-commerce, retail, fashion, cosmetics and beauty etc)
  • Strong commercial financial planning and analysis experience
  • Passion for the fashion and retail space
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent Excel skills

Desirable qualities

  • Previous experience with scaling and/or fast-growth businesses
  • Experience using Xero

Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 + benefits

Location: Central London office with 1-day remote working
