Chief Financial Officer | Iconic Live Entertainment company (6 months outside IR35)
Harmonic Finance are delighted to be recruiting on an exclusive basis for one of the most iconic live events companies in the UK and USA. The business has a Board including some of the most prominent names in the global Entertainment Industry and is a unique opportunity for any Finance leaders seeking to raise their career profile both in the UK and USA.
We are seeking a Finance Director / CFO who has a passion for the creative industries, the ability to finance business partner with creatives and the commercial nous and acumen to lead in a business which has 'spiky' cashflow and budgeting nuances.
As well as overseeing BAU finance (2 reports), you will be tasked with co-leading on a capital raise to deliver significant investment in new projects internationally for 2022 and 2023. Please note that the business has a solid current runway and that its revenues are not entirely contingent upon physical events.
Please note that a temp-to-perm offer may be made for a successful candidate.
Company culture
Diverse and creative, the company is by far one of the most fun and exciting work environments we have recruited for. Although hybrid working is fine (including no meetings on Friday afternoons), those candidates who choose to work from the office will find a collaborative, 'buzzy' workspace with projects moving at a rapid pace.
What we need to see (Essential):
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- An Operational outlook (Finance partners with Production, Creatives, Marketing very closely)
- Excellent commercial modelling and presentation skills.
- Some experience of capital raising (does not have to be as fundraising lead) via either debt, VC, institutional or Angel.
- An understanding of commercial 'project accounting'. Candidates from Creative Agencies, Theatre, Live Music, Film & TV therefore preferred.
- A genuine love and appreciation of the Arts and Live Events.
- Excellent lateral thinking ability and a calm leadership style.
What we would like to see (Non-Essential):
- Some experience of overseeing USA accounting (even if outsourced) and managing USA-based stakeholders would be of benefit.
