Harmonic Finance are delighted to be working on a retained basis with one of the UK's most globally recognised charitable healthcare organisations in their search for a commercially astute and high EQ CFO to lead their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious organisation for social improvement.

With Revenue of over £500 million, and operating in over 50 countries around the globe, the charity is renowned on the global stage. Having gained global recognition for their high quality, innovative research and lobbying, the organisation is looking to build on this success.

In this position, you will be driving the operational and financial success of the organisation. Working closely with the Trustees and Senior Directors and managing a global team, you will have a huge impact on the way the organisation is led.

The role is based in London and New York with a hybrid working approach. There would likely be some travel internationally 2-3 times a year.

Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for the finance function including accounting, commercial FP&A and transactional finance
  • Finance Business Partnering with: Business development, IT business change, contract reviews
  • Raising awareness through online networks
  • Establish and lead reforecasting processes via team
  • Financial Reporting of all Funding Grants, restricted and unrestricted
  • Refinement of reporting processes, improvement, of accounting practices
  • Creating KPI's and appropriate dashboards
  • Ultimate responsibility for successful delivery of: Audit, Company Secretarial, Payrolls and Pension Management, VAT
  • Improvement in Cash flow forecasting & Treasury Management

Requirements:

  • ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified
  • Previous experience working in a large non-profit / social enterprise.
  • Strong understanding of statutory / compliance.
  • Internal resource allocation models; financing for large capital programmes and responsible investment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong educational background.
  • Commercially astute.

Bonus skills:

  • Previous experience working successfully in a global charity / social enterprise

Salary: £180,000-£230,000 + benefits

Start date: ASAP

Location: hybrid with some travel 2 - 3 times a year.
