CFO | VC Backed Music Tech Business | London
Harmonic are proud to be exclusively working with a rapidly scaling Music Tech business who have strong VC backing. They are looking for a CFO to help spearhead future growth plans.
The Business
The business, who have interests within the Live Music sector, are already a world-renowned business in spite of their relatively small time operating (10 years). They have successfully expanded across Europe and are now looking to launch further afield in North America.
The company are headquartered in trendy offices in Central London with another office in Europe. There is a fantastic non-corporate, dynamic feel to the company with entrepreneurship being championed by the founders.
As the CFO you will play an integral role in leading the financial and commercial activity of the business; this will include leading on a Series C fundraise and using this investment to scale the company. The finance team is well established, with 5 in the department, but with future investment you will be responsible for growing and developing this team. They are looking for a Senior Finance Executive who has the core technical responsibilities, but also the passion and commercial expertise for scaling an exciting business.
The Role
As part of the role you will be responsible for:
- Developing, growing and mentoring the finance team.
- Business partnering with the CEO and COO to advise on commercial strategy.
- Ensuring strong financial compliance and robust controls
- Liaising with other departments to increase profitability.
- Proactively improving systems and processes.
- Overseeing the audit & statutory processes.
- Presenting insightful management information to the Senior Management Team.
- Leading on securing fundraising from external investors (VC).
What you need (essential):
- Experience working within the Creative Industries (Music, Live Entertainment, TV, Film, Media).
- Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA
- Strong C-suite experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
What we'd like to see (bonus):
- Fundraising experience.
Salary: £125,000 - £150,000 plus bonus
