With a $45m Series A due to be announced in the coming weeks and with the backing of top tier VC investors they are poised to disrupt the healthcare landscape by providing accurate, timely, and accessible diagnostic insights which has the potential to have massive impact on healthcare services in developing nations that drive improved patient outcomes.

The Role
As they embark on an exciting phase of growth, they are seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to guide financial strategy and operations. The CFO will work directly with the CEO shaping the strategic direction of the business and ultimately take full responsibility for the Finance function (FP&A, Financial Modelling and Control). There is a heavy focus on driving future fundraising rounds and building relationships with existing investors and Board Members.
The CFO will partner with all areas of the business to implement insightful analysis and forecasting designed to deliver improved decision making and accountability. Initially managing a Controller and FP&A Analyst, as with all start-up roles, there will be a real 'hands on' element to the role with the CFO having ultimate responsibility for ensuring the implementation of robust financial controls and processes/ systems which will support scale.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CEO to develop short and long-term strategy
- Face off to VC investors and Board Members in an investor relations capacity
- Develop Pitch Decks and own the end-to-end fundraising process for Series B and Series C rounds in the coming years
- Own the development and improvement of financial models to support fundraising rounds
- Build relationships with the wider leadership team and implement the necessary KPI's and metrics to support decision making
- Own and establish a world class FP&A function to ensure a sensible approach to 'cash burn'
- Develop improved budgeting and forecasting as the business moves through the clinical trial phases
- Oversee the implementation of financial controls, tax and compliance processes
- Ensure the implementation of systems that are fit for purpose and scalable continuously looking for areas of improvement
- Build, train and mentor a strong finance team
- Continuously act as a Leader for the wider business often supporting on Operational, Legal and People projects
What you need:
- VC Backed Start-Up Experience (Healthtech, SaaS or Biotech preferred)
- Experience taking a business through a scale-up journey
- Excellent communicator
- Strategic thinker
- Expert in building out finance and supporting teams
What we'd like to see:
- Delivered VC funding rounds (Series A, B or C)
- Experience in a regulated environment
- MBA, Investment Banking background or Qualified Accountant
Package: $275,000 - $375,000 + Bonus + Generous Equity/ Share Options + Benefits Package
