Job description

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) | PE Backed SaaS | Remote | $350K-$450K

Harmonic is delighted to be supporting a fast-growth, private equity-backed SaaS business with their search for a Chief Financial Officer. The company offers an innovative financial modelling and decision intelligence platform that delivers transformative value to high-growth startups, enabling them to build dynamic, real-time financial models that accelerate strategic decision-making.

Following the recent acquisition of a majority stake by a leading PE fund with a proven track record of scaling SaaS businesses, the company is ambitiously targeting growth from $100M to $200M ARR over the next 12-18 months. This aggressive growth plan will be driven by significant expansion of their go-to-market teams, strategic M&A initiatives, and scaling of international operations.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced finance leader who excels in SaaS financial modelling, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is passionate about working within a values-driven culture. The company fosters a vibrant 'start-up' atmosphere despite its PE backing, with a talented and ambitious team committed to redefining the future of financial planning for startups

About the Role

The CFO will report directly to the CEO, who is highly experienced and has a proven track record of successfully scaling companies through similar hyper-growth phases. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you will collaborate closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and PE investors to drive the company's financial strategy and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting to support aggressive growth targets
  • Drive scenario and sensitivity modeling to guide strategic decisions and investor communications
  • Manage capital strategy, fundraising processes, and investor relations with PE sponsors and potential investors
  • Oversee accounting, compliance, audit readiness, and financial controls across multiple jurisdictions
  • Develop scalable finance infrastructure and reporting systems to support rapid expansion
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales, and operations to align financial and business goals
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team to execute the company's growth ambitions
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to the executive team and Board of Directors
  • Play a lead role in M&A activity, including financial due diligence, deal modelling, and post-acquisition integration strategy

What We Need

  • Proven prior experience at a PE-backed or high-growth SaaS company
  • Deep expertise in SaaS financial modelling, unit economics, subscription revenue recognition, and forecasting
  • Strong experience with investor relations, fundraising, and capital market transactions
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities

What We'd Like to See (Not Required)

  • Experience with financial planning and analysis software platforms or AI-driven forecasting tools
  • Demonstrated success scaling SaaS businesses from $100M to $200M+ ARR or similar milestones
  • Background in fintech, finance technology, or financial consulting
  • Familiarity with international finance operations and multi-jurisdictional compliance
  • Prior exposure to board-level reporting and governance in PE-backed environments

Why This Role?

  • Lead finance for a category-defining SaaS platform powering the growth of tomorrow's most promising startups
  • Work with a highly experienced leadership team and PE investors committed to scale
  • Competitive compensation, substantial equity, and flexible remote work options
  • Significant opportunity to impact company growth, financial strategy, and future exit plans

Salary: $350,000 - $450,000 + Bonus + Share Options
