Debt Capital Markets & Treasury Manager | Green B2B Lending Start-Up | London / Hybrid

We are delighted to be working on a retained basis with a brand new, sustainable B2B lending start-up focused on offering fair financial products to businesses based on a number of sustainability criteria.

Having raised over £1.5m in their previous round and on the cusp of a much larger Series A the business is now looking for an impressive Debt Capital Markets & Treasury Manager to support their upcoming funding rounds as well as help to build their credit lines.

Led by an impressive founding team with brilliantly entrepreneurial minds, the business has an aggressive fundraising strategy that will lead to rapid growth in both revenues and headcount. The company is based in slick offices in the city but operate a modern hybrid working model. They are looking for the best and brightest to help take their company to the next level.

The role

As Debt Capital Markets & Treasury manager you will work as part of the finance team reporting to the Finance Director. You will have primary responsibility for developing relationships with lenders to support our loan book financing and origination pipeline.

You will also have responsibility for liquidity and cash management in the SPV, including managing cash sweeps and disbursements.

Responsibilities

Capital markets

  • Developing relationships across multiple capital sources (HNW, family offices credit funds, institutional debt) to service origination pipeline and loan book
  • Ownership of the full transaction lifecycle including investor relations, ad hoc queries and reporting
  • Management of institutional debt, including negotiation of refinancing,

Treasury management

  • Cash flow forecasting, liquidity management and efficient cash management in the SPV
  • Recommendation and implementation of Treasury policies for the SPV

Essential Experience

  • ACA qualified with 3+ years post qualification experience in Capital Markets division of an accountancy practice

  • An understanding and experience of asset-backed lending

  • Strong network of institutional debt investors

  • Exceptionally good presentation and written communication skills

  • The ability to work quickly and flexibly, with the mental agility to make good decisions quickly

  • Ability to work independently and to be able to easily switch between high level strategic thinking and hands on execution i.e. preparing investor decks and financial modelling.

    Bonus Experience

  • Experience of working with fast growth cleantech or fintech start-ups.

  • Experience and understanding of sustainability focussed investments.

Salary

  • £85,000 - £95,000 + equity
