Harmonic are delighted to be partnering exclusively with one of the UK's fastest growing healthcare firms to recruit a Business Insight Analyst which is a brand-new role for the organisation.

This company are widely known to be an excellent business to work for, and within Finance, they are known to offer genuine development opportunities to their staff across a non-hierarchal structure. The Finance team is motivated to continuously improve the performance of the function and this role has come to light following such a review.
Please be aware, this opportunity is a 12 month fixed-term-contract. It is highly likely this will become a permanent position however!
The Role
The firm are looking to improve the way that operations/sales performance and revenue information is tracked throughout the business and connected to finance reporting. In its current state, there is a significant disconnect between daily operations (fulfilling services for clients) vs how central finance are tracking the completion of projects and other meaningful performance data.
As a result, in this newly created role - the Business Insight Analyst will work with the Operations teams to identify meaningful KPIs and look to find a way for internal Finance to integrate this data into periodic reporting by implementing brand new systems, policies and procedures.
In this role, you will rely on: building strong internal relationships, being confident in your decisions, and prior experience of a process improvement project in order to make informed decisions and lead others on this project.
Core duties include:
- Work with the operations team to identify meaningful KPIs
- Undertake a review with the following objectives - "what do we capture?", "how do we capture this?", "how do we feed this into monthly reporting?"
- Implement systems and processes for weekly KPI tracking
- Travel across several UK healthcare & hospital sites (expenses paid) to meet with operations teams and review current processes
- Work through existing business analytics data with BI tools including Qlik.
- Implement brand new systems, processes, policies and procedures within Operations and Finance
Requirements for this role
To be considered for this role (essential):
- Have previously led a finance process improvement project
- High level Excel and data analytics experience (Qlik would be great to see)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and operate with "quiet" authority. - This is imperative because the success of this long-term project will be pivotal on your ability to explain to operations teams why this implementation project is important
- Are comfortable travelling across several UK locations sporadically, expenses paid
- Comfortable travelling into North East Birmingham office 1-day-a-week
What we'd like to see (strong desirable):
- Prior experience in the healthcare sector
- Experience using Qlik (business analytics software)
- Can start immediately
