IMMEDIATE START | Assistant Management Accountant + Study Support | Innovative Investment Portfolio| London

Role Overview:

Harmonic is delighted to be working with an exclusive hire of an Assistant Management Accountant to join a fast-growing investment. Our client specializes in helping investors get involved in a billion-pound market that has shown investors average returns of 8-12% over the last couple of decades.

Our client is looking for an applicant who can start immediately with adequate experience in their current role. In this role, you will be reporting directly to the CFO to prepare monthly accounts for the business along with supporting & liaising with the CFO with in-depth analysis of the monthly report.

With an incredibly strong presence in the industry, the business operates in a marketplace that is currently valued at c.6 million, and their business taps into the export market which make up 75% of this. Our client is looking for an up-and-comer who is ambitious, keen to learn, and someone who can confidently complete accounts up to trial balance. This is a problem-solving role and strong attention to detail is imperative to a keen eye.

Responsibilities:

• Working to prepare the monthly management accounts for the business; reporting back to the CFO.
• Supporting the CFO in closing out the monthly accounts this includes putting together robust commentary and analysis of the P&L.
• Preparation of the monthly VAT return.
• Management of the general ledger and AP functions. Supporting Junior colleagues with implementing new controls and overseeing a culture of best practices across the department.
• Review monthly AR Reports
• Support with the audit process
• Help streamline the monthly accounts, looking to cut down the time of month end or improve systems or processes.

• Ad-hoq support to the CFO

What Our Client would like to see:

• Studying or part-qualified ACCA / ACA or CIMA (study support also available)
• Passion for the investment space
• Experience in month-end or have supported with month-end.
• Posted journals, pre-payments, debtors, and aged debtors reports.
• Transactional finance AP/AR foundations

What we would like to see (non-essential) :

• Passion for working in an SME
• Experience in working with tangible good investments.

Salary Range: £45k + Bonus (10% Based off personal and company performance)
