Assistant Management Accountant + Study Support | Fast Growth Education scaleup | London

The Client

Harmonic are working exclusively with a fast growth education company who have scaled to an impressive £200m turnover and are growing rapidly. Having recently become private equity backed they are using recent investment to help them to expand and grow quickly as they plan to grow the business to +£250m before going through an exit process in the next 2-3 years.

They are successfully disrupting the market and creating the future of the education space through their innovative approach which has caught the attention of lots of major council/governmental initiatives. This is the perfect opportunity to join an exciting scaleup as they launch into their period of rapid growth.

The culture is fast paced but fun with space for personal growth. They are looking for an intelligent and ambitious accountant who is studying AAT / ACCA or CIMA with prior experience of month end work who is perhaps frustrated at the lack of innovation, growth and subsequently impact they can have in their current role.

The suitable candidate will need to be confident communicating not only with other teams across the business but also with external stakeholders. The client is based in modern open plan offices a short walk from Tottenham Court Road tube station (northern line) and the expectation is that you would come into the office 2 days per week.

The Role

The Assistant Management Accountant will work alongside the Finance Manager and Head of Management Accounting to help manage the day-to-day Finance and Operational Finance side of the business while getting stuck into projects as they scale. There will be plenty of exposure to the wider business and as the business continues to grow opportunities to develop and grow.

Working as a team of 4 you will:

· Manage daily reconciliation and complete reports around any variance or discrepancy in this.

· Prepare weekly & monthly journals for the team with focus of prepayment, deprecations etc

· Manage the Fixed Asset register

· Review and process expenses for staff (credit cards / claims etc)

· Onboarding of new users to the expense services and explaining these policies

· Maintain and manage creditors journals

· Support on a range of ad-hoc projects

What we would like to see:

Prior experience within the education sector

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Location: London (Hybrid)

Start Date: ASAP
