Accounts Payable Manager | Fast-Growth Luxury Fashion Store | London (hybrid)

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a rapid-growth luxury boutique store in their search for an ambitious and highly motivated Accounts Payable Manager to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-renowned company who remain passionate about the brands and the luxury fashion world.

Our client are home to some of the world's best known luxury brands who's regular clients include many celebrities and household names. They have recently moved to a state-of-the-art location where they can impressively showcase over fifty labels, ranging from luxury fashion to jewellery.

Based out of their brand-new offices in Central London, you will be part of a close-knit team who encourage collaboration and creativity, and remain hugely invested in the company's products. They operate a hybrid working pattern, with the opportunity to work from home two days a week.

You will be in charge of the accounts payable function, managing a small team, while supporting the Financial Controller with ad-hoc duties including the month-end process.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and posting supplier invoices
  • Processing purchase orders
  • Managing the expenses system
  • Ensuring VAT is calculated correctly
  • Organising the weekly payment run
  • Managing two outsourced accounts payable individuals
  • Bank posting in multiple different currencies
  • Month end reconciliations
  • C79 reconciliation
  • Updating the daily cash book
  • Being the main point of contact for supplier queries

Essential qualities:

  • 2 years' experience in accounts payable/purchase ledger in a retail environment

  • Experience with double entry bookkeeping

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Attention to detail, organisation and hard-working

  • Passion for luxury retail

    Desirable qualities:

  • Experience managing a team

  • Actively studying towards CIMA, ACCA or ACA

  • Retail Pro and Sage experience

Salary: £32,000 to £38,000 + benefits

Location: Central London (3 days in the office, 2 from home)

Start date: Immediately (maximum 1 month notice)
