The Client

Harmonic is extremely proud to be working with an amazing sustainable luxury lifestyle brand who is looking for a new Accounting Manager to join its team.

Sustainability is at the core of this business with every one of its products being made with cutting-edge eco-materials. With the aim of being the first 100% sustainable lifestyle brand ever, this company has already upcycled millions of bottles, created a carbon neutral offsetting program, and has planted over 20,000 trees.

This company is extremely impressive having raised its seed round of $4 million and looking to raise more. The climate conscious CEO has been featured in Forbes magazine and the products are currently being sold at many luxury retailers not only in the USA but also in the UK.

This role is perfect for someone that is passionate about working for a company that is climate mission focused but also appreciates the art and design of cutting-edge modern lifestyle products. The Role

The role will be reporting directly to the Director of Finance and will be an integral part of the finance function. The role will suit an ambitious individual with a keen eye for detail. You will be owning the Accounting function and encouraged to work with autonomy and have impact across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full period-end process and ensure that deadlines are met
  • Provide day-to-day operational support
  • Drive the development and maintenance of appropriate documentation for key accounting policies and procedures, including internal controls
  • Evaluate and implement process and procedure improvements
  • Manage inventory accounting and reconciliations
  • Manage and map cash flow
  • Work with the P&L
  • Support the preparation of weekly profits and loss statement
  • Support the preparation of schedules and support for annual audits
  • Provide insight and analysis to various facets of the businesses performance
  • Prepare daily sales journal entries

What we need to see (Essential)

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-5 years' experience in accounting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience working in product-based business
  • Experience at a fast-growth start-up
  • Proficiency in excel and accounting platforms

What we'd like to see

  • Experience with inventory accounting
  • A passion for sustainability and mission focused work

Salary: $110,000-$130,000
