Accounting Manager | Series A SaaS | Boston

Harmonic are proud to be working with a Series A SaaS business that are looking for a well-rounded Accounting Manager to join their growing team.

Our client is an innovative SaaS startup in the HealthTech space that provides an innovative digital platform solution to streamline operations and payments. Their platform reduces the need for multiple solutions by consolidating various functionalities into a single integrated system.

Having recently close a substantial Series A, they are on track to scale from $3m ARR in 2023 to $10m ARR by the end of 2024. from reputable investors. They brought in an impressive CFO with previous IB experience and a track record of scaling SaaS startups who is now looking for his number to that he can develop into leading the accounting function.

The Role

As ab Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the finance and accounting operations of the business. This role will suit either a well-rounded finance professional or an individual with a strong background in accounting that would like to get some exposure to budgeting and financial planning.

• Managing and coordinating all accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close processes.

• Reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and other financial reports prepared by the accounting team to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Support clients with annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis.

• Manage cross functional relationships with Finance, IT, Marketing and Product.

• Liaise with external auditors and coordinating the annual audit process.

• Participating in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Keeping on top of industry trends, accounting regulations, and best practices, and incorporating them into the company's financial operations.

  What you need

• Bachelor's degree

• 4+ years' progressive experience in Accounting

• Experience working in a fast-growth start-up

• Strong knowledge of USGAAP and audit preparation

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

What we'd like to see:

• CPA
• Previous experience in SaaS
• Previous experience with budgeting / forecasting
• Previous experience supporting an ERP implementation

Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 + Bonus
