6 Month Contract - Interim Treasury Manager | Hyper Growth Electric Vehicle Scale-Up | London / Remote

The Client

We are delighted to be working exclusively with an innovative, hyper growth Electric Vehicle (EV) scale-up business looking to revolutionise the way in which freight is transported by implementing their unique battery powered platform on an international scale.

This is an opportunity to work for an incredibly well funded business with impressive founders that foster a hugely entrepreneurial environment. The growth plans are extremely impressive, and the business expects to be bringing in a significant amount of funding over the next few years.

Now they are looking to hire an interim Treasury Manager to manage Treasury, build and run a 90-day rolling cashflow forecast and support with investment decisions. The company offers a fast-paced environment, full of motivated and passionate people - if you are an over-achieving, ambitious Treasury Manager with experience working in a rapidly scaling environment this is for you.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for group treasury function, including liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, foreign exchange risk management, accounts payable, expense reimbursement and the maintenance of relevant risk policies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple bank relationships and negotiate best financial terms for the company.
  • Oversee cash management and cash pooling.
  • Preparation of cash forecasts, for decisions regarding cash management and longer-term liquidity planning, as well as monitoring forecasting models to track short-term regional funding requirements.
  • Design and implement appropriate treasury and liquidity investment strategy and procedures.
  • Oversee the employee expenses reimbursement system.
  • Managing intercompany funding and loan arrangements. Supporting a review of capital structure and implementation of any changes identified.
  • Regular reporting: assist the Group finance controller in the monthly treasury reporting and monitor costs of financing.

What we need to see (essential):

  • Accountancy qualification; ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Experience in problem solving and cashflow forecasting.
  • Experience of moving to a global bank solution.
  • A good understanding of liquidity options available for our business.
  • Flexible approach to working, with the ability to travel to Reading/London.
  • Ability to build vital relationships quickly across the internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure.

What we'd like to see (bonus):

  • Experience in an environment dealing with R&D.
  • Experience working in a rapidly scaling environment.
  • Ambitious and passionate about being part of a start-up/scale-up.

Salary: £300 - £400/day (outside IR35)
