    The Company
    Headquartered in the USA, Harmonic Finance's exclusive client are the dominant player in a niche sub-sector of data and analytics. Already delivering a $100 million turnover, they are expanding their European offering by launching a physical London office in Dec 2018 / Jan 2019.
    Some international travel (estimated one trip every 8 weeks) will be required. This is counter-balanced by a one of the most modern approaches to flexible working we have come across.
    Office location is a luxury Zone 1 co-working venue (with internal dedicated private office for you and your colleagues).
    The Role
    Working alongside a recently-hired Global COO (London-based), you will supervise the international financial accounting function across the UK and German offices and will maintain a line report into the Global CFO (based East Coast USA).
    The successful candidate will combine a passion for financial reporting with the ability to manage multiple third-party suppliers and providers. You will have two line reports based in Germany.

    * Oversee the international financial accounting functions and services across the two regional offices.
    * Maintain (and where necessary create) internal controls.
    * Provide accurate and timely financial records.
    * Manage International VAT, Corporate tax returns, and other Governance-related processes, through a combination of internal oversight and administration, and relationship management of third party support vendors where appropriate.
    * Review and monitor monthly financial reporting and information obtained from all foreign operations for incorporation into the USA topco's consolidated financial reporting. Analyse these financial reports and gather additional information as needed.
    * Identify inter-unit activities to ensure proper accounting of each component, as well as appropriate consolidation and eliminations.
    * Oversee timely completion of account reconciliations monthly, quarterly and annually in good form.
    * Coordinate the preparation and review of designated audit work papers.
    * Provide an independent quality assurance review of interim financial statements, and account reconciliations.
    * Special Projects

    Additional External Relationships:

    * Maintain successful relationships with audit firms, federal state and local government agencies, departments of revenue officials, U.S. vendors, global companies, corporate members.
    * Manage vendor relationships with Audit, Tax and Accounting firms who support international accounting functions.

    What we need to see (Essential):

    * Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).
    * At least 4 years post-qualification experience.
    * In-depth Financial Accounting experience within an established, internationally-focussed business.
    * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    What we'd like to see (Bonus):

    * Audit background.
    * Some exposure to German financial accounting.

    Salary: 75-95k + Bonus
