    Harmonic are privileged to be working with one of the fastest scaling Meeting and Events companies in the UK in supplying a newly created position for a Finance Controller.

    Lead by a seasoned CEO in the events and festival space and backed by seasoned investors you will assist the business in setting finance controls for the forthcoming period of growth as well as reporting directly to the CEO on strategic and commercial insights.

    The business is preforming above their competition on the back of having secured several international incentives for Blue-chip clients as well as implementing cloud-based venue finding software and are actively looking to spend the finance function. Profit for the last financial year was 5 million (EBITDA) which the business is looking to scale up.

    Company Culture

    Although the business is backed by serious investors and is on a great trajectory for growth, they are well known for their non-corporate and creative working culture. The overall feel is that still of a 'start-up' and whilst standards are high there is flexibility around working from home. You will be coming into a relatively small finance team of 4. The team is made up of a Management Accountant and 2 transactional finance colleagues.

    The Role

    This will involve owning the full finance function of the business as number 1 in finance, covering payroll, management accounts, audit and cash reconciliations as well as building the board pack and presenting strategic findings. You will work closely with Account Managers in setting finance controls and managing WIP accounting whilst events or festivals are live. This role is a great platform to a Finance Director position in 12-18 months.

    Essential skills & Experience:

    * A background in an Events/Hospitality (Corporate Meetings or Festivals), tourism or leisure.
    * Early stage (sub £20 million t/o) business experience
    * Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
    * Strategic input and solid technical accounting skills
