    Harmonic are delighted to be recruiting for an Insurance broker who have become a leading name within the industry.     The business operate on a Turnover of around £35 million, and have exciting plans to scale, the company is made up of around 300 employees. This role is ideal for a Data Protection Officer looking to come into a business and make a crucial impact in the data policies they have adopted. Initially this is for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract, with the potential to go permanent.

    The Role:

    As the Data Protection Officer, you will be reporting into the Head of Compliance. There is the option for flexible working with this role, as the business have multiple sites from London, Leeds to Milton Keynes. It is an option to work some days from home, or in an office of your choice.

    You will mainly be responsible for producing Data Privacy impact assessments and working across the business to answer colleagues queries regarding GDPR. They are looking for a good communicator who is able to be involved in training sessions, and someone who can proactively guide the business on Data Projection projections.

    The Duties:

    * Producing Data privacy impact assessments
    * Answering compliance and data protection queries across the business
    * Auditing data protection procedures
    * Advising and reviewing business wide data policies
    * Work closely with the Head of Compliance on ad-hoc projects

    What we need to see (essential):

    * At least two years of experience in a Data Protection role
    * Excellent communication skills
    * Strong understanding of GDPR rules, data protection laws & ICO guidance

    What we'd like to see (bonus):

    * Data Protection Practitioner Certificate or similar

    Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

    Start Date: ASAP
