Senior Accountant | Hyper Growth BioTech Company | Remote

The Client:

Harmonic Finance are delighted to be working with one of Boston's most promising BioTech start-ups that are using cutting-edge technology to change the lives of many.

To date they have raised over $300million of funding from some of the world's leading VC funds. The business is growing rapidly with their head count doubling over the past year. This role would suit a confident and driven individual, who would like to join a mission-focused business.

The role:

This role will be an integral part of the finance team and will work closely with the Assistant Controller, and VP of Finance. There will be additional opportunities to get involved in ad-hoc finance projects that will help to form the future of the company. Given the rapid growth and pace of change, this role needs someone with an eye for process improvement and real willingness to get stuck into the detail.

Responsibilities:

• Group reconciliations for multiple divisions

• Oversee Accounts Payable processes

• Manage the full month-end process and ensure that deadlines are met

• Oversee payroll and staff accounting duties

• Production of management accounts and account analysis

• Assist with the month-end close process which includes preparing balance sheet reconciliations

• Support with external financial statement audit and other audit requests

• Prepare supporting account reconciliations

• Ad hoc project support to both Finance and Accounting functions

  What we need to see (Essential):

• A Bachelor's degree (preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field)

• 1-2 years' experience in accounting

• High degree of attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue to learn

• Excited about working somewhere which is changing every day

• Strong analytical skills and experience using data to help make strategic decisions

  What we would like to see (Bonus):

• CPA license

• Experience in a fast growth scale up or start-up

• Experience in a fast-paced environment

• Experience in tech industry

• Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, Invoicing, and Payroll experience are a plus

  Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 + Bonus
