The Client

The business has reached a tremendous stage of growth and are looking to expand their US operations and build a team around this new Senior Accountant, reporting back to their London HQ. The Role

The Senior Accountant will be an integral part of the finance team and will work very closely with the Finance Director to manage the accounting processes. This role will suit an ambitious individual with a keen eye for detail that wants to work in a fast-paced environment and gain exposure to commercial finance.

Duties

• Oversee the whole month-end process including the AP/AR function
• Oversee monthly and quarterly account reconciliations for multiple divisions
• Assist with the accounting processes and consistently look for ways to streamline and make improvements
• Ensure that the company accounts are closed in a timely fashion and in accordance with GAAP
• Preparing the business for audit and liaising with external parties as well as monitoring taxation practices
• Production of management accounts and account analysis
• Oversee payroll and staff accounting duties
• Ad-hoc project tasks and reporting

What you need (Essential)

• 2+ years of experience in a general accounting function
• Excellent knowledge of US GAAP
• Acute eye for detail and high working standards
• Exceptional communication skills

What we'd like to see (Desirable)

• CPA qualified
• Previous experience in Big 4 public accounting
• Experience working in a fast-paced work environment

Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 + Benefits Package

Location: Chicago (Hybrid - In office once a week)

Start date: ASAP
