Project Accountant | Iconic London Art Gallery | 6-Month Contract

During a period of unprecedented growth, one of London's most iconic Art Galleries are looking to bolster their finance department in multiple areas over the next year. Harmonic have partnered with this renowned Art Museum to find them a technically strong Project Accountant who will support the Project teams who deliver capital projects across the Museums Multiple sites.

The Client

Our client is in the process of undergoing an expansion, with a number of new sites across London, which demonstrates their commitment to further growth. Founded in the 19th century, the gallery has been a huge tourist attraction, with art shows and collections reflecting the cultural diversity synonymous with London.

The client's phenomenal growth is unmatched in its market, and its quick recovery from the Covid pandemic has left competing organisations in the dust. The values led business has recently received large investment which is fuelling the continued expansion.

The Role

The Project Accountants main role will be to provide finance support to the project teams which will enable them to deliver the capital projects. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring actual and forecast expenditure is reflected in the group accounts, and the funding situation of each project is understood in its entirety.

Duties

  • Support project team
  • Assist with Annual budget process and in-year forecasting
  • Work closely with colleagues in the finance team to ensure accurate reporting of project cost and funding.
  • Close accounts when project is completed
  • Streamline reporting process
  • Support wider finance function

Essential Skills

  • Full or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Previous work experience as a project accountant
  • Excellent Written, spoken, and numerical skills
  • A passion for Art, History, creative or charitable organisations

Bonus Skills

  • Previous experience within Galleries, Museums, or Not-for-profit Organistaion

Day Rate £225- £275/day (Inside IR35)
