Harmonic are delighted to be working with this TV production company which is one of the fastest growing indies in the last couple of years and is predominantly based in London. You'll be working alongside a production team of up to 20 people.

They have cultivated a fantastic working environment which is fast paced and dynamic, meaning entrepreneurial candidates who like to effect change in a role will have a lot of scope to do so. You'll be liaising with different teams managing the finances of production departments and will business partner with the senior leadership team, as well as other creatives.

The Role:

The Production Accountant will play a central role for the team de-mystfying financial jargon with the producers, and working as a commercial point of contact between the Finance function and the Production team. It offers great exposure to Senior Management, as you will liaise with the Executive Producer, managing annual budgets and cash flow projections. In addition to the main production accounting role, will be the need to have direct input production invoices into the accounting system Sage, and have direct management of the end to end financial process for production accounting. However this would be an 80/split in favour of the more senior aspects of the role.

Key Accountabilities:

• Liaise and support with the Producers in the preparation of production budgets
• Review and submit all final production budgets for financial approval to Production Senior Management, with circulation of approved budget to Finance.
• Monitoring production expenditure and projections against budget (working in multi-currencies)
• Be across billing of all invoices to clients, working very closely with the head of production to ensure timely billing, and receipt of payments.
• To assist in the preparation of management information for financial reporting purposes including WIP management but processing payments and expenditure directly into Sage.
• Creation of reconciliation statements for each project and working with producers to reconcile jobs on a timely basis.
• To manage credit card/equals pre-paid card reconcilitions
• Review with Production Senior Management project performance and profitability.
• Assist in the maintenance of the production forecast and performance measurement.
• Provide innovation and leadership in compliance with business systems, processes and reporting.
• Provide support to Production Senior Management and Finance in respect of internal/external financial issues.
• Ad hoc financial reports and administration duties as required by Production Senior Management and Finance.
• Reporting to CFO

What we need to see:

• Experience working as a Production Accountant and experience of book keeping including Sage
• Experience in the Media sector
• Self starter andn great at working independently as well as within a team

Salary: £40,000 - £53,000
