Portfolio / Part Time Finance Director | Fast Growth SaaS Scale-Up | Leeds

We are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with an incredibly exciting, fast-growth, recurring revenue SaaS platform. The business is now looking for an experienced Finance Director / CFO to build a best-in-class financial infrastructure to aid in fundraising to facilitate growth and a future potential sale.

The role will be 2 days per month with some occasional ad-hoc responsibilities, and will run for 12 months.

The company is based in the centre of London and boasts some of the most refreshing and exciting workspace in the city. The culture is not only non-corporate but fun and attracts a smart, self-motivated workforce, headed up by an experienced leadership team with a track record of scaling businesses.

The Role

The most important criteria are a smart, dynamic finance professional with strong BAU, modelling skills and the ability to communicate effectively. You will work closely with the CEO as well as a number of senior internal and external stakeholders to build an incredibly strong financial model and a robust finance function.

Responsibilities

  • Build, adapt and perfect a strong financial model for the business.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the business to collate data to build the financial model.
  • Support the build out of long-term forecasting.
  • Work with sales and tech delivery teams to support the implementation of SaaS metrics and KPIs.
  • Management of FP&A, MI, financial systems, cash management and financial reporting.
  • In the start-up environment, the Finance Director / CFO will play a key role in company decision Making and be required to work on a range of projects out with Finance.
  • Provision of detailed analysis to internal stakeholders and the VC board.
  • Implementing best practice and developing a talented team.

Essential Experience

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified.
  • Brilliant communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Recent experience working in a SaaS or online subscription business.
  • Business acumen, self-motivation and an eye for commercial opportunity.
  • Ability to work fast and under pressure.

Bonus Experience

  • Alternatively, Transactions Services background (ideally in Big 4) working on due diligence for M&A activities also ideal (must have worked on deals for SaaS or online platforms with subscription element).
  • PE/VC experience

Salary

  • £700 - £1000
