Urgent Interim Financial Controller | 12 Month Contract | London based FinTech Start-Up

The Company

Harmonic are pleased to be recruiting for an innovative FinTech start-up who have secured £75m in series B funding to date which they hope to double by the end of next year. They have a revenue growth rate of 100% year-on-year and aim to expand internationally within the next 12 months.

The Role

The Interim Financial controller will work closely with the experienced CFO and a knowledgeable Financial Director and is a fantastic opportunity to be part of one of the fastest growing FinTech Start-Ups in the UK. The role requires someone to control the set-up of processes and systems as well as monthly and day-to-day reporting of management accounts.

This role is suited to someone who is in search of diversifying their experience and working with intelligent individuals that you can learn from. There is the potential for this to go permanent after the first 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
• Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L) and quarterly financial forecasts
• Streamline current processes
• Implement new forecasting, planning and budgeting processes which will be vital when expanding internationally
• Automate finance tasks
• Support with year end statutory reporting and liaise with auditors
• Support the development of talented individuals working in the finance department
• Comply with local and national government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Produce important KPI analytics

Required Experience

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA or ACA is preferred)
• Experience working within a similar role as a Financial Controller
• Has a desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about the tech market
• Excellent leadership and communication skills

Preferred experience

• Prior Start-Up experience, ideally in tech
• Proficient user of Excel and accounting software

Day Rate

• £450.00-£550.00 per day
• Hybrid working model (3 days per week in the office)
• Start date: Immediate
