The Company:

Harmonic is proud to announce that we have been retained by one of London's most exciting B Corp start-ups creating and developing beautiful co-working offices which allow a community of start-ups and creative SMEs to network, share ideas and leverage the positive impacts of being close to like-minded entrepreneurs.

The company is experiencing rapid expansion across their sites and is negotiating the acquisition of multiple sites to drive growth into cities around the UK. Last year's Revenue doubled to £15m and they are forecasting £22m in 2022.

The client's office is currently based within a new co-working space in London, which is values-driven, this is reflected in their collaborative, dynamic, and progressive company culture which you will be integral to upholding.

The role:

The FP&A Manager will report directly to the Finance Director & CEO and will be integral to the future direction and growth of the overall business. Predominantly focussed on new site acquisitions the FP&A Manager will build financial models, forecasts and detailed analysis to drive improved decision-making shaping commercial decisions around expansion.

The role will also drive the development of improved FP&A across the business, in new sites and establish KPI metrics as the business becomes more of a 'scale-up'. Building relationships with Sales, Marketing & Operations teams challenging some of the numbers and driving commercial performance the FP&A Manager will be genuinely impactful in helping the business achieve their ambitious expansion goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide modelling for the acquisition of new sites, assisting in the overall company expansion. Providing impactful slides and interpretation
  • Improve and streamline the current modelling
  • Creation and presentation of detailed analysis making suggestions to the CEO and Exec Leadership team
  • Maintain and implement forecasting models (P&L, CF, and BS)
  • Support the CEO with future deal flow
  • Identify existing and potential future inefficiencies and propose solutions to ensure continued production of accurate information on a timely basis
  • Business partner with sales, Marketing and operation providing insightful KPIs and metrics clearly and concisely to key stakeholders to drive performance/improved decision making
  • Build a technically strong, data-focused, commercial and scalable FP&A function

What we need to see:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Excellent FP&A experience
  • Strong Financial Modelling skills
  • Ability to Partner with Senior Decision Makers
  • Excellent Communicator
  • Willingness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck into the detail

What we would like to see:

  • SME or Start-up experience
  • Experience driving commercial decisions and making strategic inputs
  • Ambitious and 'understands' the 'chaos' that life in a start-up involves.

Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + flexible working (3 days in the office)

Start Date: ASAP (happy to wait 3 months)
